Favorite Downtown Saugatuck Restaurants

• Wick’s in downtown Saugatuck has a diverse menu and is spacious, likely able to accommodate larger groups.
• Pumperknickel’s is a trendy restaurant in Saugatuck plays music in a lounge-like atmosphere. The food is great. They offer bottomless mimosas.
• The Southerner has fried chicken and other southern inspired dishes. They have family style ordering options which is ideal for larger groups.
• Bowdies Chop House is probably the best local restaurant in downtown Saugatuck for those who enjoy a good steak.   This is a higher end restaurant and on the smaller side. Reservations available through OpenTable.
  
• The Butler has been a Saugatuck staple for more than 60 years, and recently remodeled their two-story open-air patio which is a great place to have dinner or drinks.
• Phil’s Bar & Grille is sometimes mistaken for a movie theater from the outside, but once inside it has a bar/restaurant vibe with great food.
• Ladybird is the newest restaurant in Saugatuck that has rave reviews.
• Coast 236 is a higher end restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Reservations can be made through OpenTable. 
• Wallys specializes in fried perch along with other diverse menu options.

Other Local Restaurants

• Pennyroyal Café & Provisions is one of our favorite spots to eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner – their outdoor area is the way to go when the weather is nice. They also have French pastries available as a carry out.
• Saugatuck Brewing is a local brewery in Saugatuck, off Blue Star Hgwy.
• Salt of the Earth is no short of amazing and worth the drive to downtown Fennville. It’s a farm to table inspired restaurant with excellent options for vegetarians. There is also a more casual restaurant next door called Root. Both restaurants are close to Virtue Cider and Fenn Valley Vineyards.
• Everyday People Café in downtown Douglas is known for its innovative menu with high-quality fresh ingredients.
• The Grill Room at Clearbrook is located at the Clearbrook Golf Course, which is very close to the property (even walkable). 

Breakfast and Bakery

The Farmhouse Deli is an ideal option for breakfast and lunch catering services. Another great local option is Pennyroyal Café & Provisions. If you are looking for simple coffee and bagels, Biggby Coffee is right around the corner from the property. Another option for fresh juices and avocado toast is Tree of Life Juice.  A newer brunch restaurant in downtown Saugatuck is called MALU, which is affiliated with Uncommon Coffee Roasters.  Another fun newer brunch spot is Happystance in downtown Douglas.  A long-time breakfast staple of Saugatuck is Ida Red’s Cottage, which has a small breakfast diner feel.  

Retro Bakery is a new bakery in the area, located down the road on Blue Star Highway. Blue Star Barns is another nearby favorite that offers bike rentals along with coffee and pastries.
